About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a description of the "wild lands," a group of "terrorists" that the board of directors of electromediacorp says is responsible "98 percent" of the attacks of the previous six years. Suki tells the group that he thinks his girlfriend is "ticked off" at him for joining. He tells them that they can use him on morning patrol to talk about his feelings and everything is "going to be okay." Suki says that he thought he was done joining, but now he knows why he's staying. He says that they'll have a big event in the summer, when they will destroy the wild lands. They'll be able to do it in their caves, and Suki promises that he will be there to witness it. He asks if they've been to their stables this morning, but Suki doesn't think David would want to betray them. He also says that there are "hundreds of children" who think they are "talibans" and that they won't believe that Suki and his men are part of "the wild lands tribe." They can stay with them and get shelled, or they can make a run for it and get "shelled a little less" .
