Seventeen years ago, a group of pirates has taken over the island of Illyria. They've set up camp in a cave with no running water or food, and they're planning to kill the pirates if they don't give up. The pirates are planning to use the cave as a torture chamber, where they'll be able to torture the pirates until they give up and die. One of the pirates, named djinn, tells the others that he's with the pirates and that they've got nothing to lose. They have no food, no water, and no time for games. They need to figure out a way to get back to safety, he tells them. He also tells them that the law is made by "whoever is holding the gun" , and that the pirates have killed too many people. He tells them to drop the gun, and the pirates will find out who's "bad with people" . The commissioner tells the pirates that duty is everything to him, and he'll make sure that they do everything they can to keep the island safe. He gives them a light pistol, a heavy coat, and a bucket of water. He says that the cave is filled with snakes, and it's filled with lizards. He's not sure what's going on, but he thinks that the fish in the cave have poisoned the pirates. They are doomed to starve to death.
