This is a reference to the fact that Nemo can't die because he's covered up his wound with his magic sword. Nemo's not going to die. He's just got a wound that needs to be covered up. Nemo asks the kid to take care of the wound. The kid says he'll do it, and the kid is all, "I'm going to help you cover up the wound" , and then he starts to cry. He wants to know who the kid's wife is, and he wants to apologize for leaving her behind when he had no other choice but to marry her.
