About This Chapter
This chapter's epigraph is from the opening lines of the first chapter of The Jungle Book. It's a quote from the book's opening lines: "It's obvious that he cannot die" . This is a reference to the fact that Nemo can't die because he's covered up his wound with his magic sword. Nemo's not going to die. He's just got a wound that needs to be covered up. Nemo asks the kid to take care of the wound. The kid says he'll do it, and the kid is all, "I'm going to help you cover up the wound" , and then he starts to cry. He wants to know who the kid's wife is, and he wants to apologize for leaving her behind when he had no other choice but to marry her. He also wants to make sure that the kid doesn't make fun of a "naive girl like me" because she's still in love with a man. He tells her to forgive him, and she does. She's only 18 years old, and has just been married for a year and a half. She asks him to forgive her because she forced him to be with her, and it's his fault that she was forced to marry him. He asks her to use the magic sword to throw away all of the ties that bind him to his power. He can use this sword to kill Nemo, and now he can use the ce lestial sword to destroy the jungle. He says he hopes Nemo won't be killed too soon, because the show's going to end. He then asks if the kid can follow up on Nemo, who's about to kill him with his sword. He calls him a "bastard" and tells him to whip him. The
