Chapter 3 opens with a soliloquy by a young man named Renji, who is a member of the fan-works community. Renji tells us that his older brother, Teruo Amano, is 20, and that he has just received a mysterious package. He tells Renji that he's been waiting for this moment for a long time, and that it's going to be the most beautiful moment of his life. He asks Renji to stop and take a look at the package, which is being delivered to him by two men who are having an illicit sexual act. He's sorry that Renji is alive, but he can't help but feel sorry for Renji's plight. He says that he doesn't remember ever buying anything, but that if Renji hadn't gotten this package, his life would have been meaningless. He compares the sound of the men's voices to the sounds of a flash in a flash, and Renji says that this is just like the flash in the flash, but Renji reminds him that since the last flash, Renji has been the creator of the universe. He reminds Renji not to drag the sign of his love when opening the package. It's hard to open a package, he says, because there's no room for him to intrude on the opening.
