The chapter opens with a conversation between kyosuke and Jun, who are about to open their apartment for the day. The two men discuss s/he's worried about something. . , . Is there someone I've got my eye on? . Then there is someone. Oh, so . So it's as if he's been thinking about someone all along. He doesn't know how to call it love, but he does know that he has his eye on someone. He's not sure if he should call it "love" or "admire" . He tells jun not to bring up "weird topics" with him because he hasn't heard all of the details yet. He says that if he could say yes to someone, then there would be no problem. If there were someone, he says, he'd still be friends, even if he didn't say yes. If he said no, then that's the best scenario. He goes on to say that if there was someone in his life that he could still love, then he would be friends with that person. He gives jun a gift from the aquarium, which he says he'll give to the building manager if he can't get into his apartment. He asks jun if he is worried about losing his friend, and jun says that he isn't. He adds that he knows that sucks, and that he would never do anything like that until he "suck" , and then he could give it up. He also says that , since he knows how miserable he is, he wants them to suffer together.
