In this chapter, we learn that the band has received orders from the gods to "put our differences aside" and "stop some giant creature" that has appeared "out of nowhere" and is "heading straight for a land" . The band's new album is critically acclaimed, and they've just released a new song, "Agnus Dei," which has just been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Sound Editing. They're bummed that their new song has been rejected by the critics, but they're not done with them yet. They want to get rid of the "monster" that's been haunting them, and the only thing they can think of to do is to "warp" it into a place where it can't harm them.
