About This Chapter
In this short scene, the young man tells his father that he has been living a "dreamy life" for a long time, but that he is tired of it and wants to get his life back on track. He tells him that the only thing that has changed in his life is his appearance, and that without him, his appearance would not have changed at all. He is determined to make up for the wrong he has done, and he promises to do good deeds in order to do so. The young man also learns that the former leader of a black sword army, baiyi, has competed in the 104th combat mission. The success rate is 100 percent, and the reward is a memorial park with green bamboos, verdant plants, and travelers clothes. The boy is very sad to see that he hasn't yet seen the man in black, but he hears that his sister has gotten sick. He wishes that he had come to visit him with him, but the wind is blowing hard, so he doesn't have the chance. He also hears that the orphanage where he lives has been taken care of by someone who does not care about anything except for him. He says that there are always someones who don't care at all about anything else but for him, and this person might be a friend, a family member, a lover, or a person who loves him or her. He thanks the orphanage and says that he will take care of the children in the orphanage today. The narrator tells the boy that his name is "yi rong" , which means "ugly monster" in Chinese. He asks the boy if he knows the "facelift game," and the boy replies that he does
