Luyu and Xiaoqiao stand in a crowd watching the fireworks. Luyu is jealous of the attention that he is getting from the crowd, and he is sure that he will fall in love with her if he is caught in the act. He is also sure that she is trying to seduce him, but he is not fooled. The balloons are coming, and the fireworks are about to begin. He wants the reporters to take a look at the balloons so that they can write an article about them. He releases a number of the balloons, hoping that the people who take the pictures will be rewarded with a lot of money. He tells the crowd that he does not know what they would like, so he released the balloons. He hopes that they will like it. The two of them leave the crowd and Luyu wonders why they did not kiss him in public. He thinks that the balloons are beautiful, but they do not belong to him.
