"Harlow" enters and asks what's going on. Mille tells him that there's a lot going on in the country, including harsher punishments for "sodomy" . He also tells Harlow that he's done well in his apprenticeship, and that he can't wait to see what he'll be able to do with his new job. He's got a lot to learn, Mille says, and he needs to get his hands on some books. He buys some books by famous artists like Vesalius and Carrara, and buys a book by another famous artist, Cesario. Harlow is all, "Hey, I'm a friend of yours, and I'd like you to come stay with me for a couple of days. I'll also give you some money as an allowance."
