The young narrator then asks to see the professor with the flower that she has just given him. The professor is very excited to see her, and she tells him that she does not do this to him because he is special to her. She tells the professor that she wishes she could go to the sea, but that the pool is not enough. She asks if the professor has finished work the day before, and he replies that he did not. She then asks if he would like to help her out, but the professor says that he does not care.
