In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the "Great Goemon" . We learn that he is the founder of a new town, called "happy town" , and that the town's inhabitants are "missionaries." The great goemon tells his momo that he wants to show her around the town, but that his wallet is missing. He tells her that he needs money to pay for his trip to the new town. The goemon also tells her about the gambling hall that he runs, where he gambles away his money. He says that he lost all of his money in the first round of the game, and now he's going to gamble even more. He also says that there are cheaters in the hall, and he'll let them off the hook the next time he wins. This is the first time that the goemon has ever been in a gambling hall, so he doesn't know what to make of it. He asks if there's anything he can do to get back at the cheaters, and they all say that they'll do anything for him, including killing all of the missionaries in the town. Goemon says that if he leaves, he won't be able to find any easier missionary work.
