In this chapter, we learn that the club is still in the planning stages, and that it's not yet ready for prime time. We're also introduced to the "elfen quest" , which is basically a game of hide-and-seek in which the protagonist pretends to be an elf in order to find out more about the female protagonist's background. The protagonist asks the protagonist to play the role of "skye," and the protagonist agrees to do it. He tells the protagonist that he's been waiting for him for a long time, and he finally gets back to him. He says that he almost forgot how cool it is to give a "damn" to someone, and the elfen quest is a great way to do that. He also says that skye is a "party girl" who is "practically a pornostar" . He's super excited about the prospect of playing the role, and says that "she's the next super-star mc as in" a rap song. He then tells the priest that he just spotted a guy at the club. The priest says that the guy is very tired, but the protagonist says that vodka is "good for the heart" and "to lower fatness" and to stop the spread of disease. The dude says that if the protagonist were a superman from the past, he would overcome humanity, but not the man from the future. The crowd is getting ready to celebrate the arrival of the future, so the protagonist tells them to open the "footlocker" and welcome the future to them. He promises that he will be there to "bless" the crowd with his "dignified presence" that night. He adds that "the sun your homeboy" is on the VIP guest list
