The next day, Gil catches up with Mr. Hook and asks him what he's up to. He tells Gil that he wants Gil to come along with him and steal his protegee. Gil says that Gil is the "worst pirate" he'd ever met, and that Gil has been waiting for Gil all night in the cold. Gil asks why Gil is going to auradon, and Gil tells him that he just told Gil to go check in on his little buddy. Gil is totally confused, and says that it's terrible that Gil would be going to a place like that, but that he'll just have to go hang out with the other guys. Gil's all, "I just think about all the guys I'm going to miss, and how cool it is that they're going to be part of my big plans" . He's totally lost, but he finally finds Gil and tells him about his trip to the "top secret pirate stuff" , which he says is super important. Gil agrees to work with him in the "saloon," and Gil promises to tell his grandmother about it.
