Back at the palace, Caiwen asks her sister where she is going. Caiwen tells her that the Northern Desert has sent someone there to propose marriage. She thinks that whoever is chosen for the marriage will have more time to spend with her mother before they move to the northern desert. She tells Caiwen that everyone knows about the proposal, and that the king of the desert is older than Caiwen's father. She says that she is the only one who can be sent so far away because she is so young.
