Act Four, Scene One The wolf tells the others that they have to save the old woman. The old woman will not be able to come back. She will never see her children again. The wolves tell the others to hold on to their hope. The grand master seems strange. He put the pine pagoda under guard in order to lure the demon after resurrection medicine. The wolf says that if there were such a thing, he would have gone after it immediately. He says that in two years, the grand master has become the master of the whole world. He promised to take the old people to the capital to live a good life, but he did not come. They were picked up and killed by the mountain demons. After five years, he himself became a demon, and when he heard rumors about resurrection medicine, he tried to break in to the palace.
