In this chapter, the young protagonist is introduced to the world of Bessatsu, the popular Japanese magazine. He is introduced as a young man who has just returned from a summer vacation in Europe. He has just arrived at a seaside resort in France, where he has been invited to go on a giant super-speed waterslide with his friend, the protagonist's little sister, who is also in the resort. The protagonist is very excited about the waterslide, which he describes as "a thrill ride in japan" , but he is also concerned about his little sister's safety. He tells his friend that he will have to rescue his sister from the water slide, which is described as being "so intense that some people i love them" . He also tells his buddy that he has come back from a "bathroom wobble" in which he had been talking about "romance" with another friend. The two of them discuss the possibility of a romance between the protagonist and the girl he has just met, and the protagonist is horrified to see that the girl is wearing a bikini top. He asks his friend if she is haunted by "an evil spirit" and she replies that she is not. She then tells him that the amusement park will soon close and that he should hurry to the changing rooms to find out what is going on.
