The next morning, Huck finds a letter from the Governess. The Governess apologizes to Huck for his behavior in the previous night's fight, but she's still not done with him. She tells him that he's not the only one who's been following her around. She also tells Huck that she knows more about the tower than anyone else. Huck asks her to join him and teach him how to survive one of the towers. Huck says that he doesn't have a choice, but that's going to cost him. He's giving the letter back because he wants to make sure that it's safe for him to keep it. Huck tells Huck to be nice to him now and not to worry about him in the future. He says that if Huck puts himself in danger, he won't expect Huck to save him.
