The narrator tells us that he's been working in sales for three years at a company called Shuno-phar-maceuticals. He's lost a lot of money to a guy named Kouhei Sasaki, who's also a sales guy named Masaki Mitsuki . The narrator says that Masaki is a hard worker, and that's why he won't let him go. Masaki, of course, is also in sales, and he and the narrator have a bet: Masaki will give the guy a raise if he keeps working harder. The two of them are psyched to have the bet, and Masaki says he'll give it a shot. He says he needs to try harder, but Masaki's right, he needs more of a challenge. The three of them get into a bit of a fight about whether or not it's weird for them to help each other out, and then Masaki gets all worked up and yells at them to calm down.
