The Governess tells the Governess that it is the first time she has fallen in love. She tells her that she must not speak badly of other women because it only brings her own worth down. She says that she has been watching her for her strength, and hopes that she will improve her self and find happiness. She asks her why she had to hide her feelings. She apologizes for not turning her down properly, but she says that her feelings make her happy. She wants to tell her lover that she loves him, but he says that he does not want her to tell him that. She then asks him to kiss her, and he does so in a very serious tone.
