In this chapter, we learn that the girl in question is a little girl named Roxane, who lives with her older brother, Yun, in a boarding house in London. Roxane tells us that since she was a child, she's always been a "rebellious girl" who doesn't care what people think of her, because she thinks they'll protect her and hide her mistakes. Now, however, she realizes that her rebellious nature has led her to make a big mistake.
