The scene opens with a conversation between the boss and his servant. The boss is worried that the main road has been closed because of an accident. He's worried that he'll be unable to serve the main course because the head chef has already left. The servant suggests that they use the leftover pastry from the pastry shop to make a dish. When the boss sees that the servant is happy, he tells him to cheer him up. He tells the servant that they've taken care of all the problems in the kitchen, and he's going to leave the kitchen to hinako the next day. He says that he hopes that someday she'll make him a good wife, and that she's too kind for him to be shy. He asks the servant to help him prepare for the wedding when he decides to get married, and the servant says that they aren't married yet, but they'll get married soon. The maid says that she offered to come to the hot spring to thank the boss for his help, but the maid says she didn't want to say anything, because she was too shy. She kisses the maid, and she says she feels "losing my mind" .
