About This Chapter
The narrator runs a food wagon on a corner of a downtown business district. He thanks the man who bought the food from him for coming to pick it up. The man is very handsome and looks like he's in a good suit. The narrator tells the man to come back later in the day to pick up his business card. He's sorry, but the food wagon is closed for the rest of the day, so the man can have some fun. He asks the narrator to stop bothering him, and the narrator tells him to get off his "damn high horse." The man says that he came to ask the narrator out, and that he'd been looking for him for a long time. He tells the narrator that the guy who hit him on the road wrecked his wagon, and he had to stay at his place until the next day to try to fix it. The wagon has a red scratch, so it's too painful for him to drive it.
