This chapter is all about the "Gorilla Girl" . She's in the middle of a conversation with her "sworn enemy" at a company reception, and she can't stop talking about how awesome the guy is. She tells him that she's never listened to anything he's said to her before, and that's why she turned him down. She also says that she was the one who was shocked when she realized that he'd turned her down. This is the first time that she has ever listened to all of what someone else has to say to her, and it makes her feel like a "gorilla girl" , which is kind of like saying that you're a woman and you don't have to listen to anyone else.
