In this chapter, we learn that Mr. Harker's son, Harker Jr., has become very close to his father's famous movie director, Mr. Manette, and has caused a lot of problems for Harker and his family. In order to help Harker deal with his father, Mr Manette suggests that Harker become an actor and make some quick cash. He tells Harker that he is not interested in becoming an actor because Harker is the one who has made him an actor. He also warns Harker about the risks involved in making a career out of acting.
