In this chapter, we learn that the animals have come from a parallel dimension. They believe that all life is equal, and that humans are just as precious as animals. They've been living in this dimension for a month now, and they've noticed that the humans have changed a lot. They think the humans are jealous of the animals' beauty, but they're not jealous of their own. They don't like the way humans treat animals, because they think animals treat humans with a passion. The only thing that's different between the two worlds is that animals look inside to their soul, and the soul of an animal is just like that of a human. This is why they have an ark, where all animals can live free. They can't eat the humans yet, though, because the bats have been eating them all day long. The bats are so freaked out by the sight of the fruit bats that they'll have to leave the ark by 6AM the next morning. They have only an hour left, and it's time to go home.
