In this chapter, we meet a young woman in her mid-20s. She's been working in the stock exchange for eight years, and she's still in love with her first boyfriend, who left her for "some one more beautiful" , and her third boyfriend, whom she left for "someone more sensual" . We learn that the first boyfriend left her "for someone more sensual," the second for "better at sex," and the third for a "more sensual" man . The young woman, who we'll refer to as "the cherry blossom spirit," is thrilled to be alive. She tells us that she met the "cherry blossom spirit" a week ago, and that the man is now the "heir to the company," which means that he's "like an eti-quette coach" to her. She says that even though she doesn't know it yet, she feels like they're getting to know each other well enough that she can't help but feel bad for the man when he tells her that she isn't feeling well.
