In this short scene, Hiroshijima's mother, Miho, and his wife, Batushiuichi, are shopping at a local department store. Miho tells her son that she's going to rebuild their house so that it can be a home for the family. She also tells him that he should hang the clothes from the bottom and not the top so that they don't look like they're hanging from the top. Hiroshi says that he's glad that Miho is doing this, because it will give them more peace to worry about raising a family together. He's also glad that he doesn't have to sleep in the house on Sundays, because he'd rather do so. After Miho leaves, she asks her son how long she'll be staying, and he says he'll stay for three days. She tells him to try to stand up for himself, because now everyone will know that she ran away. She says that after she married Hiroshi, she went back to her job to do her best. She's so glad that she found Miho's sister, who's five years older than her, and she hopes that they can have a happy family.
