About This Chapter
In the midst of his meditation, Ganymede asks his brother not to speak to the Tengu, as he is afraid of self-mutilation. The tengu have already sacrificed too much, he says, and they should not desecrate their legacy. The voice in his head urges him to ignore the pain, and he does so. He says that he has seen the weave of life that controls the world and his place within it, and that they are going to wipe him out
