This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between a police officer and his assistant. The police officer tells his assistant that he's going to go to a club downtown where he can hang out with other police officers and have sex with them. The assistant says that's cool, but the police officer is a little offended by the idea of hanging out with a bunch of police officers. He tells the assistant that if he wants to hang out, he can go to the club and hang out any way he likes. The officer says that he doesn't mind if the woman hangs out with him, because she's free to do whatever she wants with her life. The woman says that she'll hang out at the club until the manager gets mad at her for hanging out too much with the police officers
