The witch tells the boy that if he goes down the steps, he'll find his mother. The boy thanks the witch and says that he's always wanted to have a bite of ice cream. He's been craving it since he was a little boy. The ice cream tastes so good, he says, that he can't wait to try it again. He remembers when he was little, when he used to squeeze his hand so hard that he wouldn't eat. Now, he thinks, he looks like a "cuter" .
