Mr. Toudou arrives at the shop, where he finds Mr. Mishima waiting for him. He is surprised to find that Mishima has not yet returned home from work, and he is worried that he is waiting for someone else. He tries to talk to Mishima, but Mishima is too old to be serious, and so he does not speak to him. The shop owner, however, is very kind to him, and Mishima thanks him profusely for his kind words
