In this short scene, we are introduced to the master of strategy, garaka. He tells us that the city has just experienced an explosion, and that there are still no definite answers as to what caused it. He says that humans have lost their ability to understand fear, and he plans to show them how fear looks like in the real world. He adds that the world has changed, with the human population having increased significantly. The only hope for the humans is to collect the souls of children from the dead, and this will be the only way to harness the power of this realm. He warns us that this will lead to a chain reaction, weakening the human life, dragging it slowly into destruction.
