In the midst of the battle, the vespers attack the retreating pandita, who is hiding in a cave. The venots attack and kill her, but she escapes, and they capture her. They tell her that they are the ones who have been created to fight her, and she is mistaken. They were created to destroy the human civilization, and this is the first step in their fourth resurrection cycle.
