About This Chapter
It's been a while since we've heard from the fairies, but now that they're back in the house, the Queen asks Tinkle what's up. He's bummed that he lost his hammer, but he's also happy that the Queen didn't banish him forever. Tinkle tells the Queen that he was teaching her how to make "water plumes" , which is a fancy term for water that's soaked in fairy dust . He says that he'd be happy to make a "little one" out of the water, but that he doesn't have a water-penetrating hammer. The Queen tells Tinkle that she's not worried about his talent, and that he can practice with the other fairies if he wants to. She tells him to come over to her house for dinner, and Tinkle says he'll be there, too. He wants to fix some pots and pans, and he'm bummed that everyone's gossiping about him losing his hammer. He asks if it's possible that the crack in the bottom of the bathtub is a drain problem, and the Queen tells him that she once fixed the problem, but the water has gone so fast that she can't figure out why. She's worried that it might be a pin-sized hole, and she'd like to tell the fairies about it, but she'll have to tell them all about her hammer.
