In this chapter, we learn that Shmoop was the one who canceled the debut of the girl group he was in because he was seen as a "garbage" by the other members of the group. He tells us that he never even flirted with her back then, and that she ended up going on to become a solo artist, which is why he's so happy with himself. He also says that he'd like to spend a night with him, even if it's just for a little while. He's got nothing to lose, he tells us, and he doesn't care what Shreve finds out about it. He wants to escape the story by "speed limit art" .
