The narrator tells us that he's been a sex slave since he was a child. He tells us the story of how he met his first, second, and third stepmothers at his dad's school. His dad is a "natural lady" , so when he married again, he got to meet his third stepmother. The narrator says that he never cared who his dad married until he saw his new wife. He says that it's nice to meet someone, but it would be awkward if he were really friendly. He glances at the woman, but then his dad goes to China on business, so he and his stepmother are alone. He asks his stepmother what she's doing there, and she says that she'll break up with her dad after a while, and then she'd be his stepmother again. He's shocked, because a stepmother isn't related to him, and he doesn't know how she could be related to her. But he does know that she leaves her door open all the time, which is a good thing.
