About This Chapter
In the capital of the royal academy, Tillard trembles. He has planned everything perfectly, but now he has to do it himself. He tells claire that he is terribly sorry that she has had a headache, and that if there had been, it would have been a "hiccup chirp chirp" . He also tells her that they will be waiting for her in the room. They will knock on the king's door and ask him to see her in thirty minutes. Tillard says that he has nothing to shield him from the king, and he is sure that the king will know that he only woke up. He says that vik is going to be the only person going in with him and that he will grant him a reward for "saving my country." He tells Tillard that he was curious about what she had to say, but that she had sent him gifts as if she sensed his anxiety. He is sorry for her, and says that she should be given the attention she clearly wants.
