About This Chapter
The Governess tells the Governess that she has found a beautiful lady and that she must be a knight. She tells him that she is sorry to join him so suddenly, but she is relieved that he does not seem to be a bad person. He tells her that he is annoyed by the strangeness of the people around him, and that they seem to have "special circum stances" . He asks her if she would like a refill of her sangria, and she says that it is a popular drink with women. She says that she cannot say that the place is a safe place for her to go, because apparently she has gone to a convent. She asks him if he would like to come to Pescatore, a small island in the south of Iias. He says that he would be able to get there safely with the support of the four men he has met so far. They are all from another country, and he says that they would explain why he has not met them before. He then tells her about the island of Lindel, which was destroyed by an invading army forty years ago. Lindel is a small country surrounded by water, but it was able to stand up against the enemy invaders. It was unable to hold its ground against the invading army, and fell in one night. He thinks about the letter he found in the vault before his fifteenth birthday, which he had to throw away. He wonders why they should stop by Lindel on their way there.
