About This Chapter
The chapter opens with the narrator's declaration that he would rather have eyes for Roxane than be touched by her. He's worried that Roxane might be rebellious, and he wonders why Fumiya doesn't seem to get along well with her. The narrator tells us that his family has a feast every Saturday, and that he's not worried about it. He also tells us about his favorite part of his brother, Fumiya, who is "really capable" and "has great leadership" . He says he'll be "one lucky guy" to have a wife like Roxane as his wife. Roxane, of course, says she'll take care of her husband, and the narrator agrees. He tells the narrator that he can take a picture of himself and Roxane and pretend to be friends with them. He wants to buy some chicken tempura, but he can't bring himself to buy all of the cute things Roxane has made herself. She's prettier than ever, and she's also prettier than her brother, who isn't his real brother. He apologizes for not telling the narrator about Roxane's cold, but it's his first time hearing it.
