The scene opens with the innocent Joe looking for a wife to love him for the rest of his life. He is searching for a woman who will love him forever. When he returns home, he finds that the woman he is looking for is not with him, but with his family. He tells his servant, chitose, that he will introduce her to him and take care of him. When chitose asks him what he plans to do for the day, he tells her that he wants to spend time with her. He asks her if she is okay with a large fish, and she says that she is. He then asks her to laugh more, and when she does so, he says that he loves her the most. The scene ends with Joe exclaiming that it is like they are living together. He says that the food was delicious, and that it made him feel like he was living with someone who loved him. He blushes, saying that he did not think that living with him would make him so happy
