This chapter's epigraph comes from a conversation between Roxane and Roxane's sister, Milady. Milady asks Roxane why she didn't try to take Roxane by force. She's not sure why, but she's pretty sure that it's because Roxane is different from the other alphas in the group. She tells Roxane that she managed to shake Roxane off and get home on her own. She doesn't know what else to say, so she leaves.
