The next morning, Sikes asks if he likes the doctor. Sikes says he doesn't need him anymore. He says he approached the doctor in the same way he approached Sikes when they met at the police station the day before. He tells Sikes that whatever he does with anyone is not of his business, and that he's sorry for bothering him. He gives Sikes a new phone and tells him to go on his business trip. He also tells him that Sikes son has recently come to visit him with his lover, and Sikes is going to report this soon. He asks Sikes if he is looking into his son's lover, to which Sikes replies that he is. Sike says he will report it soon, and then he goes to his room to apologize. He feels like his heart is beating so fast that he can't speak. He apologizes for his rudeness, and says that he likes Sikes.
