The next morning, the two men try to figure out what happened. The manager of the hotel where the meeting was supposed to take place says that the meeting has been canceled. The chairman of the company cannot have done anything to cancel the meeting. The doctor says he'll take the man to the hospital to check on him. He says he gave the man a sedative to stop his pheromones from becoming unstable. If he wakes up, the doctor says, he can give him the same medication to suppress the man's pheromones. The two men decide to go to a different hotel. The hotel is a bit far away from the office, so the doctor can check on the man there.
