At the beginning of this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's seventeen years old. He's still wearing his school uniform, and he'd like to borrow money from a guy named ichinose. He asks em>Niimi/em> if he can borrow a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01Y1Y1W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1" target="_blank" /a>the guy who gave him the money to buy his new school uniform. He also tells us about the guy who raped him, whom he calls "Hasebe" . The narrator then tells the other two students to hurry up and get back to school, because there's a "slasher" in the area, and one of them is a student at the school named "hasebe." The three students decide to go home, but they're interrupted by the narrator, who tells them that "there's been a slasher" , and that one of the students who was attacked has been at school. The three of them decide to try to avoid going home alone.
