In this chapter, we learn that we're introduced to a new character, i.mai. He's the kind of guy who doesn't like to be around people who aren't in his good graces. He likes to hang out with people who don't seem to have the same sense of self-worth as he does. We learn that he's a little obsessed with his sex life, and that he spends a lot of time hanging out with other people who are just as obsessed with their sex lives as he is. We also learn that the guy is a bit of a perfectionist, and he'd like to make sure that everything is perfect before he can have sex with anyone. He wants to be sure that his body is in tip-top shape, so that he can make men love him for how he feels. He thinks that this is the best way to do it, because it'll make men fall for him just by making him feel "wonderful with" his body. He tells us that he got into a little bit of trouble with management again, and now he wants to take a break from his work and drink some champagne. He says that he has a client who's just sent him a bottle of champagne, and it's in his favor, but he knows that he needs to be careful with the champagne, because if he says too much, he'll lose his job at the office. He asks if he can help distract him, and then he says, "I dunno if I can keep up the care . . if you say something like that, i'll not be around when all of this falls apart again" . We're not sure what he means by this, but we do know that i'm not in love with him.
