He tells us that the guy turned him down, and that's why he's suspicious. He also tells us about his love for shrines, which he describes as "all near the sort of gods" . He says that they can bring memories of places he'd been, even if he forgets them now. He adds that he has written a story about statues of lions, dogs, and rabbits.
