In this chapter, we learn that the little bird is suffering from a serious case of "sins." He is 8 years old and has been trained in the martial arts since he was a child. He wants to be the leader of the sect, but he is afraid that he will not be able to do so because of his sins. He resolves to complete his grandfather's wishes and become a sect leader.
