Exorcist tells the audience that the captive is the one who "damns it" . He tells us that the guy with him is dead, and that he's going to beat him up for breaking their promise to each other. He says that he can survive on his own without him, but he can't believe that he was supposed to be the one to stop him if he ever attacked anyone. He asks why he didn't tell him sooner, and he says he was looking for him all this time. He doesn't think he'd put himself through that kind of torture. He's not going to lie to him, he says. He wants to say goodbye, and asks if he can travel with him again, and if he wants to come along with him after all. He does, and they kiss goodbye.
