The day of the exam arrives, and s/he is overjoyed to find out that he will be chosen as the new student. He is sad that he does not have an envelope under his door to take the exam, and that he is not allowed to wear his white uniform. He tries to be sorry, but he cannot understand why the exam is of no importance in selecting a replacement. He realizes that he has been answering the same questions for twenty years, but that now and then he must find his own way. He remembers the crack that broke his gut when he left . He says that life is short for all men, but it is not restored. He feels free again, and wonders if they will meet again someday.
