When Hayato leaves, Mina tries to convince him not to leave her alone with him. She tries to make him feel like she's not in love with him, but he doesn't seem to want to leave either. She's worried that he's attracted to her because she is a "guy" , and she'll have to learn to be a good friend to him if she wants to keep him around. When she gets home, she finds out that Hayato placed in the top half of his class in the midterm exams. She tells him to be careful on his way home because she has to return a rare book to the library.
